Debut Story:
원래 홍콩 TVB에서 어린이 프로 <430 제트기>의 진행자였던 주성치는 이수현이 감독한 <벽력선봉>에 조연으로 출연하며 스크린에 첫선을 보였다.
처음 작품은 전혀 코미디물이 아닌 정통 홍콩 느와르. 이 영화를 기억하는 사람들에게 주성치는 괴로운 표정, 오만가지 인상 쓰기에 도가 터보이는 참신한 신인이었다.
He was MC of Children's TV Program <430 Jetplane>(Hongkong TVB) with Tony Leung Chiu-Wai. First his movie, he played complete Hongkong Noir : ). He was smart actor, but not comic action at that time.

Recently:
94년 친구와 합작해 서립한 '채성전영공사'로 제작자로 변신 <화기소림> <불초자열혈남아>로 널리 알려진 유진위 감독과 손잡고 창립작품으로 '서유기'를 <백 투 더 퓨처>처럼 시공간을 초월하게 하여 만든 <손오공 그후 500년(원제:서유기 제101회의 월광보합)>를 내놓았다. 주성치는 이 영화에서 제작, 주연을 맡았으며 홍콩, 중극 합작영화. 홍콩에서는 94년 2월 개봉되어 25억원(한화)의 수익을 올렸다.
He was establishing Cinema Company and made first film 'Chinese Odyssey Part One - Pandora's Box, A (1994.2)' - story about time travel like 'Back To the Future(tm)'. He was making money from this movie about 3 million dolars.
